I like to move it, move it!

Happy Monday to you!

The DeWeil clan enjoyed a fun weekend together! No pictures this weekend (sorry!).

Friday, all of us were zonked! Who knows why? We enjoyed some pizza, cookies, and all snuggled up on the couches watching Wipeout. There were tons of laughs and it really was a memory making time. I think the funniest thing was not watching Wipeout, but watching Scott watch Wipeout. When he starts laughing so hard and for an extended time, it cracks me up! :)

Saturday was a fun sort of day filled with a mystery in the middle. Scott & Mycah went on a breakfast date that morning, so Sienna and I made some pancakes and turkey decorations for the front door. Then all the ladies got ready and all dolled up and went for an adventure of our own. Sorry...we are sworn to secrecy from Scott (who does read here so I cannot reveal all the deets). Let's just say we had a great time! Scott enjoyed (errr...I don't know if that is the right word?) watching the Clemson game while we were away. When we arrived back, at half time, we had lunch and chilled out for a little while. Saturday night we went over to our dear friends, and the girls' aunt & uncle's house, Craig & Ala. The girls played with their sweet boy Jack and we all enjoyed some yummy food, great conversation, and lots of ooey gooey marshmallows as we sat out by the fire. Fun times!

Sunday was another great day! From breakfast, everyone getting ready for church, all going to church together, and enjoying an amazing message at church, it was a GREAT morning! Lunch was yummy too and then the afternoon was spent playing games and getting into adventures outside. Mycah enjoyed trying to use the backpack blower to clean off the bazillion leaves in our driveway and back yard. Sienna created a fun, yet challenging, game that we all played...and she won!

It was a great day! The day ended with playing some Super Mario Brothers on Wii and cuddling up on the couch. Yay for the weekend!!!

I sure do love love love love my family! :)

Now, I am about to clean this pit of a place I call a house. From having back issues to having bronchitis and not being able to do anything without coughing up a lung, this place is overdue for some cleaning. So, I'm gonna "move it, move it" as I clean up...or at least get a good start on it. If you are free and want something to do, I am sure I could find something for you here! :) Come on over!

Have a happy Monday!!! Love you guys!

Weekend Update--a tad late

Sorry for the delay in recapping this past weekend.
Here's the dealio.

We did not have the girls this weekend and Scott had to work late Saturday, which meant it was very quiet in the DeWeil house. Add to that, not being able to drive/do anything, I had a lot of free time on my hands.

So, here is the low down (short and sweet)

So, last week I mentioned that I loved loved loved the smells and tastes of fall. In honor of the first day of autumn, this is what happened in our house this weekend...DeWeil family pumpkin pie (my first one made and Scott loved it! woohoo!), Yankee Candle Cinnamon & Sugar candle burning away, and yummy treats in the form of Brach's candy pumpkins and Hershey Kisses in Halloween colors.
Yum Yum Yum

Then I had some free time on my hands. I found a plain white apron this past week and decided to spruce it up. Having some extra ribbon and a monogrammed pin, thanks to Karen, I tried my hand at sewing. I admit that it is not the best ever, but for my first try, I think it turned out okay. :) Sienna is getting a new apron for her birthday (shhhhh...it's a secret) and now we will have cute aprons together.

Well, that is about all the exciting parts of my weekend.
My hubby and I enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon/evening with popcorn, jalapeno cheddar poppers, and lots o football!
Hope your week is going GREAT!

Weekend Update--DeWeil Style

Instead of using a bunch of words to describe the greatness of our weekend with the girls, I figured I would let you see it for yourself. We had a great weekend with the girls. :) Only 1 Thorn per girl for the weekend. One of those was due to a slight behavior issue and one was due to being tired because of a Rose. I will take that. Yes sirree.

Hope your week is as great as our weekend was! :)
Happy looking!

What would a weekend be without playing some games. This is Scott & Sienna's fave...Scooby Doo.
Oh how we LOVE reading books...especially Olivia! Oh, and we love being silly!!
Artistic creation by Mycah--chalk volleyball
Artistic creation by Sienna--sparkles were a must!
Chef Sienna helped me make these butter cookies. IDK what happened and why they didn't turn out as expected. Life lesson taught today: Everyone makes mistakes. If things don't work out as you hoped, don't get frustrated and give up. Keep trying. (our salvaged butter cookies)
What would a weekend be without a tea party or two? We love Sienna's flavored coffees and teas!

Then...Sunday night...there was big adventure for Scott & the girls. Ride their bikes to Ingles to get some supplies for dinner. Oh dear! The trip took an awfully long time. I got a little antsy and decided to wait in the driveway for their triumphant return.
First up...
ummm...where might the other 2 be? Not too long after her arrival, here they come...
memories made and all 3 back in one piece. yay!
while creating masterpieces with Sienna, we found some window paint. fun was sure to follow...
I started things off with a heartfelt message to my man!
Mycah had fun in her room. (no worries...all is clean now)
The front glass door became a canvas.
Wrapping up our weekend with the most favorite thing...Scott's famous chocolate "chookies" (according to Sienna) and some yummy milk.
Mycah singing "I love these cookies".

Well, there you have it. Our weekend in a nutshell. Loved sharing these memories with you! Now off to dreamland for our sweet girls. Picture day is tomorrow for Mycah and she has requested to have her hair curled. Early morning and busy morning it shall be. But there is not one thing I would change about it! :)
